Flooding damages are being assessed in the Triad area of North Carolina after Tropical Storm Chantal swept through, bringing heavy rainfall. Alamance County reported up to ten inches of rain on Sunday (July 6), causing significant flooding. The storm left more than 30,000 homes without power overnight.

Residents in parts of the Triad remain under a flood warning until Tuesday (July 8). Emergency services are working to restore power and assess damage in the affected areas. The heavy rainfall has caused road closures and property damage, with local authorities urging residents to stay cautious and avoid flooded areas.

As the cleanup begins, officials are monitoring weather conditions to ensure the safety of residents. Further updates on the situation are expected as assessments continue.
